Safety in Hippotherapy

At Car-ynne4kids, we take safety very seriously.  From the moment our patients get out of the car to the moment they get into the car to leave, we have safety protocols in place to protect them.  This includes having our staff meet the patient at the car if needed and ensuring that the patient safely enters the arena for an official greeting from our staff.

Once in the arena, our patients are always accompanied by staff.  Helmets and gait belts are always worn by our clients when interacting with the horses, and our staff are formally trained on all safety protocols.  All of our therapists are CPR and First Aid trained.  We hold quarterly (or more frequently if needed) inservice trainings to be sure all staff is up to date on safety, horse care, horse handling, ranch duties, and anything else that needs to be addressed.

We are always striving to make Car-ynne 4 kids the best place to be!
