About Car-ynne 4 kids
Our History
In 2005, Theresa began hippotherapy for her son, Carson, who has cerebral palsy and quickly saw its powerful benefits. Inspired by the progress Carson made, she founded Car-ynne 4 Kids, in 2007. Car-ynne 4 Kids is named after her children, CARson and BrYNNE. As demand grew, she purchased property with room to expand, adding two outdoor arenas and an indoor arena. Today, Car-ynne 4 Kids serves children and adults with special needs.
How We Give Back
Car-ynne 4 Kids gives back by offering service-learning hours as well as level 1 and level 2 fieldwork placements for therapy programs at colleges and Universities. These experiences introduce new therapy students to hippotherapy, letting them see how much clients enjoy the hard work. Students get to experience first hand the amazing benefits of the movement of a horse as well as the powerful impact a horse can have on the human spirit.
Car-ynne 4 Kids also welcomes community service groups. Volunteers enjoy spending time with the animals while helping with tasks around the ranch. Groups from churches, Girl Scouts, schools, and the wider community have all contributed to making Car-ynne 4 Kids a better place.
Our Chaplain
At Car-ynne 4 Kids, our Chaplain services play a vital role in supporting the families and staff who care for our special-needs clients. Strong support systems help children and adults thrive; even a simple word of encouragement or a listening ear can make a big difference.
Family needs may vary, but having someone to listen, watch siblings, or support their needs during overwhelming challenges are always beneficial. We also provide referrals and resources when families are not sure where to turn.
Our Chaplain service is completely volunteer-based. It is a service that looks at the families as a whole and provides support as needed to give them a fulfilling life.
